Pocatky is a town and a summer resort southward of Pelhrimov. The historical centre is also a town monument reservation. You can find there two-storied Renaissance and Baroque houses above all, but there is another point of interest as well- the church of St. Jan Krtitel, renewed into the Baroque style in 1688- 1702. Close the cemetery church a bell tower is set- it is a prismatic tower with a shingle onion cupola. In the newly reconstructed bourgeois house the Town museum has been established and in the native house of Otakar Brezina there is a memorial hall.
